Medusa

I love the Greek myths, especially the tragic figures.

Medusa: I worked on her with designs and shapes, I wrote and meditated long on this figure without solutions, on her inability to a possible exchange of glances, the figure that could not be looked upon, unless if paying with death.

I think I succeeded, in the works about her, to find the right emotional tone, the path of knowledge has led me to work on the anagram of her name, where have emerged three possible workstations.

SUM DEA – MUS ADE – SUM ADE.

And I've been working on these three. The path of Medusa to death.

These pictorial works were reinforced in three works of symbolic forms:

THE BIRTH – THE LOOK – THE DEATH

Her birth was symbolized in a speckled egg, from which the hair of Medusa creep out, snappy shiny copper wires, these are intertwined to a metal frame made of copper, alpaca, fine paper, bird feathers, the plot of her destiny. Heaviness and lightness.

Her name reassembles in the continuous variation of the anagram, another paper frame.

Medusa's gaze is an eye of stone, stone found, long sought on the shores of many seas. Hanged, anchored on branches with leaves of a shell.

Death is a part of the wall of metal with a walled-up door, on a stone crossed by deep splits, the eye of Medusa is bound.

From the nest of her eye come out red roots that symbolize the transformation.

On the shore of the sea, the blood gushing from the severed head of Medusa is formed into coral.

Wonderful gift to humanity.
